Lt.-Col. Hubert Montagu Cotton Curtis1

     Lt.-Col. Hubert Montagu Cotton Curtis was born on 1 February 1876.1 He was the son of William Cotton Curtis and Caroline Louisa Thornewill.2 He married, firstly, Lilian Susette Watson, daughter of Louis Watson, on 31 July 1915.1 He and Lilian Susette Watson were divorced in 1929.1 He married, secondly, Marcella Olive Penrose Robinson, daughter of Peter Robinson, on 4 May 1929.1 He died on 11 July 1948 at age 72.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 6th Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment, Territorial Forces Reserves.1 He gained the rank of Acting Lieutenant-Colonel in 1918 in the 7th Service Battalion, East Kent Regiment.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918 and two bars (1918 and 1919.)1

Lilian Susette Watson1

     Lilian Susette Watson was the daughter of Louis Watson.1 She married, firstly, Alfred Stephen Broadwood before 1915.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Hubert Montagu Cotton Curtis, son of William Cotton Curtis and Caroline Louisa Thornewill, on 31 July 1915.1 She and Lt.-Col. Hubert Montagu Cotton Curtis were divorced in 1929.1 She died on 1 July 1931.1
     From before 1915, her married name became Broadwood.1 From 31 July 1915, her married name became Curtis.

     William Richard Curtis was born on 2 March 1933.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hubert Montagu Cotton Curtis and Marcella Olive Penrose Robinson.2 He married Janice Clare Duckworth, daughter of William Yates Duckworth and Mary Edith Clare Trevor, on 27 April 1961.1 He died on 30 September 2017 at age 84.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He lived in 2003 at Whitewold, Mill Hill, Weston Colville, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1
