     Sir Thomas Jackson, 1st Bt. was born on 4 June 1841.1 He was the son of David Jackson and Eliza Oliver.2 He married Amelia Lydia Dare, daughter of George Julius Dare and Sarah Shreeve Parke, on 19 September 1871.1 He died on 21 December 1915 at age 74.1
     He was chief manager and chairman of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank.1 He was appointed Knight in 1899.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) [Hong Kong]1 He was created 1st Baronet Jackson, of Stansted House, Stansted, Essex [U.K.] on 4 August 1902.1

     From 19 September 1871, her married name became Jackson.

     Brig.-Gen. Sir Thomas Dare Jackson, 2nd Bt. was born on 14 June 1876.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Jackson, 1st Bt. and Amelia Lydia Dare.2 He married Mary Lillian Vera Massy Lloyd, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Samuel Eyre Massy Lloyd, on 25 January 1919.1 He died on 7 February 1954 at age 77.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the General Officer Commanding Southern Army India between 1906 and 1908.1 He was Assistant Military Secretary to the General Officer Commanding Gibraltar between 1910 and 1914.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1912.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel in 1914.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier-General and Brigade Commander in 1915.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Jackson, of Stansted House, Stansted, Essex [U.K., 1902] on 21 December 1915.1 He was commanding officer of the a Battalion, Manchester Regiment between 1916 and 1917.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918 and bar.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1919.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Suffolk.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster.)1

     Mary Lillian Vera Massy Lloyd also went by the nick-name of Mimi.1 From 25 January 1919, her married name became Jackson.
