     Hon. Armyne Margaret Astley was born on 19 December 1909.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Albert Edward Delavel Astley, 21st Lord Hastings and Lady Marguerite Helen Nevill.¹ She married William George Broadbent Schofield, son of Captain George Arthur Schofield, on 16 August 1933.¹ She died in 1979.¹
     From 16 August 1933, her married name became Schofield.¹ She was Company Commander with the Auxiliary Territorial Service between 1938 and 1940.¹
