     From 16 February 1904, her married name became Murray.1

     Sir William Hay Macnaghten, 1st and last Bt. was born on 24 August 1793.2 He was the son of Sir Francis Workman-Macnaghten, 1st Bt. and Letitia Dunkin.3 He married Frances Martyn, daughter of John Livingstone Martyn, on 2 August 1823.2 He died on 25 December 1841 at age 48 at Kabul, Afghanistan, captured and murdered by Akbar Khan at the start of the Afghan War, without issue.2
     He was in the Bengal Civil Service.2 He was created 1st Baronet Macnaghten [U.K.] on 18 January 1840.2 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2
