     Major Patrick Donavan Crofton was born on 20 January 1915.1 He was the son of Alfred Gerald Crofton and Frances Nora Wilson.2 He married Anne B. Evans, daughter of Harry Marshall Erskine Evans, on 1 June 1946.1 He died in 1996.3
     He gained the rank of Major in 1943 in the a company of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1943 and 1945, in Italy and North-West Europe, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was a military observer with U.N. in the India-Pakistan-Kashmir Dispute between 1955 and 1956.1 He lived at 10672 Madrona Drive, Sidney, British Columbia, CanadaG.1
