Major Maxwell Robertson Hyslop1

     Major Maxwell Robertson Hyslop was the son of Lt.-Col. Maxwell Hyslop. He married Alys Maud Crofton, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hugh Augustus Crofton and Amelia Harriet Farquharson, on 19 February 1884.1 He died on 2 June 1915.2
     He gained the rank of Major in the Leicestershire Regiment.1

     Edward Crofton was born on 6 June 1832.1 He was the son of Reverend Augustus Crofton and Charlotte Kirwan.2 He married Sarah Tanner, daughter of William Tanner, on 10 August 1859.1 He died on 12 March 1900 at age 67, without issue.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was a practising barrister.1
