     Captain Thomas Carter Richardson Carpendale was born circa 1822 at County Armagh, Ireland.2 He was the son of Maxwell Carpendale.2 He married Charlotte Maria Edwards, daughter of John Edwards, on 16 May 1860 at Wicklow, County Wicklow, Ireland.1,2 He died before 1876.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Indian Marines.1
