     Sir Neville Egerton Leigh was born on 4 June 1922.1 He was the son of Cecil Egerton Leigh and Gladys Durrell Barnes.1 He married Denise Branch, daughter of Colonel Cyril Denzil Branch, on 20 May 1944.1 He died on 1 August 1994 at age 72.
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force. He lived in 1952 at 9 Empire House, Thurloe Place, London, EnglandG.1 He was Clerk to the Privy Council between 1974 and 1984. He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1980.2
