     Peter Abney-Hastings was born on 1 May 1924.2 He was the son of William Griffiths.1 He married Barbara Huddleston Abney-Hastings, 13th Countess of Loudon, daughter of Reginald Mowbray Chichester Abney-Hastings and Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings, 12th Countess of Loudoun, on 15 September 1954.1 He died on 2 January 2002 at age 77.1
     He was given the name of Peter Griffiths at birth.1 In 1955 his name was legally changed to Peter Abney-Hastings by Deed Poll.1

     Reginald Mowbray Chichester Abney-Hastings married Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings, 12th Countess of Loudoun, daughter of Major Paulyn Francis Cuthbert Rawdon-Hastings and Lady Maud Grimston, on 12 December 1916.1 He and Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings, 12th Countess of Loudoun were divorced in 1947.1
     He was also known as Reginald Mowbray Chichester Huddleston.1

     Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings, 12th Countess of Loudoun was born on 13 May 1883.1 She was the daughter of Major Paulyn Francis Cuthbert Rawdon-Hastings and Lady Maud Grimston.1 She married Reginald Mowbray Chichester Abney-Hastings on 12 December 1916.1 She and Reginald Mowbray Chichester Abney-Hastings were divorced in 1947.1 She died on 24 February 1960 at age 76.1
     Her married name became Huddleston. She succeeded as the 13th Lady Campbell of Loudoun [S., 1601] on 23 February 1923.1 She succeeded as the 12th Countess of Loudoun [S., 1633] on 23 February 1923, suo jure.1 She succeeded as the 12th Lady Tarrinzean and Mauchline [S., 1633] on 23 February 1923.1 On his death, her Scottish titles fell into abeyance between her daughters.1
