     Alfred Denis Godley was born on 22 January 1856.¹ He was the son of Reverend James Godley and Eliza Frances La Touche.² He married Amy Charlotte Isabella Cay, daughter of C. H. Cay, in 1894.¹ He died on 27 June 1925 at age 69, without issue.¹
     He was a Fellow and Tutor between 1883 and 1912 at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.³ He was Public Orator in 1912 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Amy Charlotte Isabella Cay was the daughter of C. H. Cay.² She married Alfred Denis Godley, son of Reverend James Godley and Eliza Frances La Touche, in 1894.¹ She died on 22 September 1933.¹

     Lt.-Col. Francis Clements Godley was born on 8 March 1858.¹ He was the son of Reverend James Godley and Eliza Frances La Touche.² He married Maud Adeline Whittall, daughter of Surgn.-Maj. Richard Whittall, on 22 September 1886.¹ He died on 13 November 1941 at age 83.¹
     He fought in the Sikkim Expedition.¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 2nd Battalion and 12th Battalion, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment and 91st Infantry Brigade.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)¹ He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel.³ He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General.³

     Maud Adeline Whittall was the daughter of Surgn.-Maj. Richard Whittall.² She married Lt.-Col. Francis Clements Godley, son of Reverend James Godley and Eliza Frances La Touche, on 22 September 1886.¹ She died on 5 October 1941.¹
     From 22 September 1886, her married name became Godley.

     Raymond Denis Godley was born on 30 January 1888.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Francis Clements Godley and Maud Adeline Whittall.² He married Kathleen Sharpe, daughter of Reverend Henry Edmund Sharpe, in 1919.¹ He died on 11 January 1941 at age 52.¹

     Kathleen Sharpe is the daughter of Reverend Henry Edmund Sharpe.² She married, firstly, Raymond Denis Godley, son of Lt.-Col. Francis Clements Godley and Maud Adeline Whittall, in 1919.¹ She married, secondly, Reverend Charles Leslie Abdy on 24 March 1953.¹
     From 1919, her married name became Godley. From 24 March 1953, her married name became Abdy.¹
