Geoffrey Anthony Walter Hungerford was born on 16 June 1906.1 He was the son of Geoffrey Hungerford and Caroline Agnes Lily Hungerford.1 He married, firstly, Mary Sylvia Haldane Sinclair, daughter of Colonel Walter Sinclair, on 23 April 1935.1 He and Mary Sylvia Haldane Sinclair were divorced in 1944.1 He married, secondly, Hazel Mary Bently Ross, daughter of Walter Gordon Ross, on 2 June 1948.2 He and Hazel Mary Bently Ross were divorced in 1961.2 He died in 1977 at Exeter, Devon, England.3,4
     He was educated at Epsom College, Epsom, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Wiltshire Regiment.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 1st Gurkhas.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He retired from the military in 1954, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Royal Army Service Corps.1 He lived in 1976 at Huntly, Bishopsteignton, Devon, EnglandG.1

     Mary Sylvia Haldane Sinclair is the daughter of Colonel Walter Sinclair.1 She married Lt.-Col. Geoffrey Anthony Walter Hungerford, son of Geoffrey Hungerford and Caroline Agnes Lily Hungerford, on 23 April 1935.1 She and Lt.-Col. Geoffrey Anthony Walter Hungerford were divorced in 1944.1
     From 23 April 1935, her married name became Hungerford.1
