     Sir George Selby was born in 1557.2 He was the son of William Selby and Elizabeth Fenwick. He married Margaret Selby, daughter of Sir John Selby.2 He died on 30 March 1625.2
     He lived at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1601. He was appointed Knight on 23 July 1603. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1604. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northumberland in 1614.
