Harriet Anne Bateman-Hanbury.3 She was baptised on 30 October 1856 at Sproughton, Suffolk, England.2 She married Edward Burtenshaw Sugden, 2nd Baron St. Leonards, son of Hon. Henry Sugden and Marianne Cookson, on 5 December 1876 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1,2 She died on 12 November 1947 at age 91.1
     From 5 December 1876, her married name became Sugden.1,2 After her marriage, Marianne Caroline Dashwood was styled as Baroness St. Leonards on 5 December 1876.

     Edward Burtenshaw Sugden, 2nd Baron St. Leonards was born on 12 August 1847.2 He was the son of Hon. Henry Sugden and Marianne Cookson.3 He married Marianne Caroline Dashwood, daughter of George Astley Charles Dashwood and Hon. Harriet Anne Bateman-Hanbury, on 5 December 1876 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1,4 He died in 1908.5
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baron St. Leonards, of Slaugham, co. Sussex [U.K., 1852] on 29 January 1875.3

     Major Frederick Loftus Dashwood was born on 13 October 1824.1 He was the son of Sir George Dashwood, 4th Bt. and Sarah Marianne Rowley.2 He married Lucy Amelia Clinton on 7 February 1871.1 He died on 12 October 1902 at age 77, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 16th Lancers.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.1

     From 18 August 1857, her married name became Somerset.
