     Edmund Henry St. John-Mildmay was born in 1815.1 He was the son of Sir Henry St. John Carew St. John-Mildmay, 4th Bt. and Harriett Bouverie.2,1 He married, firstly, Louisa Josephine Saunders, daughter of Joseph Saunders, on 8 March 1851 at All Souls, St. Marylebone, London, England.1,3 He married, secondly, Augusta Jane St. John-Mildmay, daughter of Venerable Carew Antony St. John-Mildmay and Hon. Caroline Waldegrave, on 11 May 1867.1 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Mary Hall, daughter of George Hall, on 18 February 1896.1 He died on 8 October 1905.1
     He was Equerry to HRH 1st Duke of Cambridge between 1844 and 1850.1 He was Equerry to HRH 2nd Duke of Cambridge between 1850 and 1904.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Radetzky's Hussars, Austrian Army.1 He was British Commissioner, Austrian Army HQ.1 He was awarded the Commander, Order of Dannebrog.1 He fought in the Austrian War in 1869.1

     Washington Merritt Grant Singer was born in 1866.1 He was the son of Isaac Merritt Singer and Isabelle Eugene Boyer.1 He married, firstly, Blanche Emmeline Hale, daughter of George Willes Hale and Eliza Jane Edwards, in 1887.1 He married, secondly, Ellen Mary Allen in 1915.1 He died in 1934.1
     He became an unknown person 's adoptive father.1
