     Noel Hamlyn O'Connell was born on 20 December 1905.¹ He was the son of Hugh Hamlyn O'Connell and Octavia Stevens.² He married Celia Whittuck, daughter of Charles Frederick Whittuck, on 8 April 1935.¹ He died on 28 December 1964 at age 59.¹
     He was educated at Brighton College, Brighton, Sussex, England^G.¹ He was educated at H.M.S. Worcester, England^G.¹ He was manager of the Bogawantalawa Tea Plantation at Sri Lanka^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, in the Far Esat.¹

     Charles Frederick Whittuck lived at Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was a practising Solicitor.¹
