     He gained the rank of Captain in the Gloucestershire Yeomanry.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He was with the Fleet Air Arm between 1944 and 1946.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Denny [U.K., 1913] on 2 February 1955.¹

     Major Sir Ernest Guy Richard Lloyd, 1st Bt. was born on 7 August 1890.² He was the son of Major Ernest Thomas Lloyd and Ethel Mary Green-Price.² He married Helen Kynaston Greg, daughter of Colonel Ernest William Greg, on 5 March 1918.² He died in 1987.²

     Elizabeth Hunt Lloyd was born on 8 January 1925.² She was the daughter of Major Sir Ernest Guy Richard Lloyd, 1st Bt. and Helen Kynaston Greg.² She married Sir Alistair Maurice Archibald Denny, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Maurice Edward Denny, 2nd Bt. and Marjorie Lysaght, on 18 April 1949.¹ She died on 16 October 2015 at age 90.³
     From 18 April 1949, her married name became Denny.²

     Nigel Peter Denny was born on 12 December 1952.¹ He was the son of Sir Alistair Maurice Archibald Denny, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Hunt Lloyd.² He died in 1977.¹
