     Sir Arnold Wienholt Hodson was born in 1881 at Devon, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Henry Algernon Hodson and Sarah Wormald Wienholt.2 He married Elizabeth Charlotte Sarah Hay, daughter of Major Malcolm Vivian Hay of Seaton and Florence de Thiene, on 15 November 1928.1 He died on 26 May 1944.1
     He held the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Gold Coast.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1
