     Sir John Dryden, 1st Bt. was baptised on 11 November 1752.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Turner, 2nd Bt. and Cassandra Leigh.2 He married Elizabeth Dryden, daughter of Bevill Dryden and Mary Dubber, on 14 May 1781.2 He died on 14 August 1797 at age 44.1
     He was given the name of John Turner at birth.2 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Foot.2 On 16 December 1791 his name was legally changed to John Dryden by Royal Licence.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1792.2 He was appointed Knight in 1793.2 He was created 1st Baronet Dryden, of Canons Ashby, co. Northampton [Great Britain] on 2 May 1795.2

     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Dryden, of Canons Ashby, co. Northampton [G.B., 1795] on 14 August 1797.1

     Reverend Sir Henry Dryden, 3rd Bt. was born on 7 July 1787.1 He was the son of Sir John Dryden, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Dryden.2 He married Elizabeth Hutchinson, daughter of Reverend Julius Hutchinson, on 31 July 1817.1 He died on 17 November 1837 at age 50.1
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Dryden, of Canons Ashby, co. Northampton [G.B., 1795] on 29 September 1818.1 He was the Vicar at Ambrosden, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was the Vicar at Leek Wootton, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1

     Elizabeth Hutchinson was the daughter of Reverend Julius Hutchinson.2 She married Reverend Sir Henry Dryden, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Dryden, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Dryden, on 31 July 1817.1 She died on 22 November 1851.1
     From 31 July 1817, her married name became Dryden.

     Sir Henry Edward Leigh Dryden, 4th/7th Bt. was born on 17 August 1818.1 He was the son of Reverend Sir Henry Dryden, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Hutchinson.2 He married Frances Tredcroft, daughter of Reverend Robert Tredcroft and Frances Katherine Brooke-Pechell, on 24 January 1865.1 He died on 24 July 1899 at age 80.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dryden, of Canons Ashby, co. Northampton [G.B., 1795] on 17 November 1837.1 He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Turner, of Ambrosden, co. Oxford [G.B., 1733] on 24 March 1874.1

     Reverend Robert Tredcroft was baptised on 12 January 1792 at Horsham, Sussex, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Nathaniel Tredcroft and Sarah Steele.2 He married Frances Katherine Brooke-Pechell, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Thomas Brooke-Pechell, 2nd Bt. and Charlotte Clavering, on 3 August 1824 at Hampton Court Palace, London, EnglandG.3 He died on 19 December 1846 at age 54.2,4
     He was the Rector at Tangmere, Sussex, EnglandG.1
