Major Maurice William Chetwode Hamilton was born on 23 May 1882.2 He was the son of Charles Paulet Hamilton and Emily Louise Smyth-King.2 He married Enid Helen Sinclair, daughter of Rt. Hon. Thomas Sinclair, on 23 February 1914.2 He died on 5 March 1955 at age 72.2
