Desmond Herlouin de Burgh and Norah Dorothy Sharpe.2 He married, firstly, Mary Foster Ashburner, daughter of Robert Percy Foster Ashburner, on 9 August 1947.1 He and Mary Foster Ashburner were divorced in 1968.1 He married, secondly, Janet Margaret Goldspink, daughter of Alan Douglas Goldspink, on 21 May 1968.1 He died on 10 August 1988 at age 66 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.3
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1960.1 He was Deputy Commisioner of the Air Forces, Borneo in 1966.1 He was with the NATO Defence College in 1967.1
