Lt.-Col. Hubert Dayrell Gallwey1

     Lt.-Col. Hubert Dayrell Gallwey was born on 22 June 1915.2 He was the son of Henry William Dayrell Gallwey and Eily Marie Eugenie Power.2 He married Mary Frances Fuller, daughter of Henry Sydney Fuller, on 9 September 1939.2 He died on 27 November 1983 at age 68.
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2 He was commissioned in 1937, in the service of the Royal Artillery.2 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1938 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded in Crete, and became a POW.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Numismatic Society in 1945.2 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1958 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He retired from the military in 1959.2 He was honorary editor of The Irish Genealogist in 1968.2 He wrote the book The Wall Family in Ireland 1170-1970, published 1968.2 He lived in 1976 at Woodlands, County Waterford, IrelandG.2

     Gerald Patrick Gallwey was born on 30 July 1920.1 He was the son of Henry William Dayrell Gallwey and Eily Marie Eugenie Power.2 He died on 24 January 2010 at age 89.3
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was educated at Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He retired from the military in 1947, with the rank of Lieutenant, late of the Irish Guards.1 He lived in 1976 at Davidstown House, Castledermot, County Kildare, IrelandG.1

     She was with the Voluntary Aid Detachment during the Second World War.1 She was a nun with the Carmelite Order in 1947.1 She lived in 1976 at Carmelite Monastery, Delgany, County Wicklow, IrelandG.1

     He was also known as Darby.1 In 1640 he held three cartrons and a half of land in Newcastle called Corrobane (which was forfeited 1653.)1 On 10 July 1656 he transplanted to Cloonbanniff, near Ahascragh (afterwards called Dalys Grove.)1
