     Lt.-Col. Sir John Alexander Dunnington-Jefferson, 1st Bt. was born on 10 April 1884.1 He was the son of Mervyn Dunnington-Jefferson and Louisa Dorothy Barry.2 He married Frances Isobel Cape, daughter of Colonel Herbert Anderson Cape, on 1 October 1938.1 He died on 12 April 1979 at age 95.1
