Major Frederick Morton Eden was born on 28 December 1847.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. John Eden and Charlotte Carse Prentice.2 He married Minnie Pitts Allen, daughter of Edward Allen, on 6 January 1881.1 He died on 6 January 1919 at age 71.1
