     He was given the name of John Adams at birth.1 His name was legally changed to John Coode-Adams by Deed Poll.1 He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at London University, London, EnglandG.1 He was a practising solicitor in 1882.1 He was editor of the Pall Mall Gazette between 1892 and 1915.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1919.1 He lived at Lower Stonehams, Pangbourne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at 16 Kensington Park Gardens, London, EnglandG.1

     Hon. David Murray was born on 10 May 1748.2 He was the son of Reverend Hon. Gideon Murray and Elizabeth Montolieu.2 He married Elizabeth Harley, daughter of Hon. Thomas Harley and Anne Bangham, on 8 October 1783.2 He died on 8 May 1794 at age 45.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peebles in 1785.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Radnor in 1790.2

     Major David Mortimer Murray was born on 11 May 1832.1 He was the son of Reverend David Rodney Murray and Frances Portal.2 He married Ida Fenton, daughter of Captain Lewis Fenton, on 3 January 1861.1 He died on 24 January 1881 at age 48, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 64th Regiment.1
