     Henry Mansel was born circa 1250.2 He is the son of Sir Thomas Mansel and Hana Grey.3 He married Ellinor Haels, daughter of Hugh Haels ap Howel.1
     He was apparently the first of the family to settle in Glamorgan.1 He was also known as Henry Maunsell.2 He lived at Gower, Glamorgan, WalesG.2

     Sir Walter Mansel was the son of Henry Mansel and Ellinor Haels.2 He married Emma Langton, daughter of Sir William Langton.1 He died circa 1327.1 He was buried at St. Botolph's, Aldgate, London, EnglandG.3
     He held the Manor of Missenden, Buckinghamshire in capite of the King.3 He held manor of Missenden, Buckinghamshire, as a tenant-in-chief of King Edward I.2 He was also known as Sir Walter Maunsell.3 He was appointed Knight of the Sepulchre.1
