Lady Frances Leke1

     Lady Frances Leke was the daughter of Francis Leke, 1st Earl of Scarsdale and Anne Cary.1 She married Jenico Preston, 7th Viscount Gormanston, son of Nicholas Preston, 6th Viscount Gormanston and Mary Barnewall.2 She died on 29 July 1682, without issue.2
     Her married name became Preston.2 After her marriage, Lady Frances Leke was styled as Viscountess Gormanston on 28 June 1643.

     Jenico Preston, 7th Viscount Gormanston was the son of Nicholas Preston, 6th Viscount Gormanston and Mary Barnewall.1 He married, firstly, Lady Frances Leke, daughter of Francis Leke, 1st Earl of Scarsdale and Anne Cary.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Margaret Molyneux, daughter of Caryll Molyneux, 3rd Viscount Molyneux and Mary Barlow, in November 1683.1 He died on 17 March 1690/91.1
     He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Gormanston [I., 1478] on 28 June 1643.1 He succeeded as the 10th Lord Preston of Gormanston [I., 1370] on 28 June 1643.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1686.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant for County Meath in 1689, by King James II.1 In 1691 he was indicted for high treason and posthumously outlawed (where his titles were deemed to be under attainder until 1800.)1

     Arthur Roland Pelly was born on 14 November 1895.1 He was the son of Rev. Canon Richard Arnold Pelly and Margaret Jane Buxton.2 He married Phyllis Elsie Henderson, daughter of Alexander Duff Henderson, on 21 April 1920.1 He died on 2 June 1966 at age 70.1
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 5th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1919 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1922 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Bursar between 1938 and 1961 at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1

     Phyllis Elsie Henderson was the daughter of Alexander Duff Henderson.2 She married Arthur Roland Pelly, son of Rev. Canon Richard Arnold Pelly and Margaret Jane Buxton, on 21 April 1920.1 She died in 1974.1
     From 21 April 1920, her married name became Pelly.

     John Gordon Pelly was born on 27 November 1923.1 He was the son of Arthur Roland Pelly and Phyllis Elsie Henderson.2 He married Patricia Fuller, daughter of Major Hugh Clarence Fuller, on 18 January 1947.1 He died on 20 August 2004 at age 80.3
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1 He lived in 2003 at Aniceford House, Stockton-on-Teme, Worcestershire, EnglandG.1
