     William Wentworth, 2nd Earl of Strafford was the son of Thomas Wentworth, 1st Earl of Strafford and Lady Arabella Holles.1 He married, firstly, Lady Henrietta Maria Stanley, daughter of James Stanley, 7th Earl of Derby and Charlotte de la Trémoille.3 He married, secondly, Henrietta da la Rochefoucauld, daughter of Frederick Charles de Roy da la Rochefoucauld.3 He died in October 1695, without issue.1
     He was restored to the family lands and titles.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron of Raby [E., 1640] on 12 May 1641.4 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Wentworth, of Wentworth Woodhouse, co. York [E., 1611] on 12 May 1641.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Strafford [E., 1640] on 12 May 1641.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Wentworth of Wentworth Woodhouse, Baron of Newmarch and Oversley [E., 1628] on 12 May 1641.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Wentworth [E., 1628] on 12 May 1641.4 On his death all of his titles except the Barony of Raby became extinct.4

     Justin MacCarthy, 1st Viscount Mountcashell was born circa 1643. He was the son of Donough MacCarty, 1st Earl of Clancarty and Eleanor Butler.2 He married Lady Arabella Wentworth, daughter of Thomas Wentworth, 1st Earl of Strafford and Lady Arabella Holles.1 He died on 21 July 1694 at Barèges, France.
     He gained the title of 1st Viscount Mountcashell in 1689.
