William Booth Grey was born on 10 September 1773.2 He was the son of George Harry Grey, 5th Earl of Stamford and Lady Henrietta Cavendish-Bentinck.2 He married, firstly, Frances Ann Price, daughter of Thomas Price, on 7 April 1802.2 He married, secondly, Frances Somerville, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Hugh Somerville and Mary Digby, on 28 August 1838.1 He died on 11 March 1852 at age 78, without issue.1

     From 7 April 1802, her married name became Grey.1

     Katherine Cocks was the daughter of Henry Cocks.1 She married George Harry Grey, 7th Earl of Stamford, son of George Harry Grey, 8th Baron Grey and Lady Katherine Charteris, on 29 August 1855.1 She died on 29 January 1905.1
     After her marriage, Katherine Cocks was styled as Countess of Stamford on 29 August 1855. From 29 August 1855, her married name became Grey.2

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1
