Captain Thomas Job Syer Hanmer was born on 5 July 1781 at Holbrook Hall, Little Waldingfield, Suffolk, England.1 He was the son of Job Hanmer and Maria Syer.2 He married, firstly, Harriet Dawson, daughter of Thomas Dawson and Ann Manning, on 13 May 1823 at St. Marylebone, London, England.1 He married, secondly, Charlotte Sophia Blagrave, daughter of John Blagrave, in 1835.1 He died on 18 August 1842 at age 61 at Little Waldingfield, Suffolk, England.1
