     Colonel Henry Champernowne was born on 21 May 1840 at Totnes, Devon, England.1,2 He was the son of Henry Champernowne and Charlotte Buller.3 He married Elizabeth Charlotte Murray, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Thomas Andrew Lumsden Murray and Elizabeth Fisher, on 30 August 1880.1 He died on 20 September 1917 at age 77, without issue.1 He was also reported to have died on 24 September 1917 at Plymouth, Devon, England.2
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1 He lived at Pound, EnglandG.1

Thomas Andrew Lumsden Murray was born on 20 March 1825 at Eddlestone, Peebles-shire, Scotland.2,3 He was the son of James Wolfe Murray, Lord Cringletie and Isabella Katherina Strange.2 He married Elizabeth Fisher, daughter of John Carlton Fisher and Elinor Isabella Auchmerty, in 1849 at Quebec, Canada.2,3 He died on 3 October 1893 at age 68 at Surrey, England.2,3
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.2

     Elizabeth Charlotte Murray was born circa 1855 at Manchester, Lancashire, England.2 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Thomas Andrew Lumsden Murray and Elizabeth Fisher.3 She married Colonel Henry Champernowne, son of Henry Champernowne and Charlotte Buller, on 30 August 1880.1 She died on 7 August 1928.1 She was also reported to have died on 29 July 1928 at Hospital Cochin, Paris, France.2
     From 30 August 1880, her married name became Champernowne.
