     Gertrude Isabel Douglas was the daughter of Admiral Sir Archibald Douglas.2 She married, firstly, Commander Cecil Halstead France-Hayhurst, son of Colonel Charles Hosken France-Hayhurst, before 1919.1 She married, secondly, Thomas Arthur Champernowne, son of Reverend Richard Champernowne and Elizabeth Jane Keble, on 24 June 1919.1 She died on 29 November 1956.1
     From before 1919, her married name became France-Hayhurst.1 From 24 June 1919, her married name became Champernowne.

     Reverend John Edward Champernowne was born on 5 March 1870.1 He was the son of Reverend Richard Champernowne and Elizabeth Jane Keble.2 He married Audrey Eliza Evans, daughter of Joseph Russell Evans and Elizabeth Price Hale, on 30 September 1902.1 He died on 18 August 1935 at age 65.1
     He graduated from Keble College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Vicar between 1909 and 1921 at Modbury, Devon, EnglandG.1
