     John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree was born on 5 September 1836.1 He was the son of Reverend Michael Maxwell-Heron and Charlotte Frances Burgoyne.2 He married Margaret Salter Stancomb, daughter of William Stancomb and Bridget Downing Bowles Hare, on 12 November 1868.1 He died on 26 January 1899 at age 62.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Royal Scots.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kirkcudbrightshire in 1880.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1

     Margaret Salter Stancomb was born in 1844 at Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England.1 She was the daughter of William Stancomb and Bridget Downing Bowles Hare.1 She married John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree, son of Reverend Michael Maxwell-Heron and Charlotte Frances Burgoyne, on 12 November 1868.2 She died on 6 September 1925.2
     She was also known as Marguerita Stancomb.2 From 12 November 1868, her married name became Maxwell-Heron.

     Lt.-Col. Guy Heron Maxwell-Heron was born on 8 June 1871.1 He was the son of John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree and Margaret Salter Stancomb.2 He married, firstly, Hilda Parker, daughter of G. F. Parker, on 24 January 1922.1 He married, secondly, Dorothea Rose Harrison, daughter of Albert Henry Harrison, on 25 April 1928.1 He died on 29 January 1944 at age 72, without issue.1
     He fought in the Boer War.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, South Wales Borderers.1

     Hilda Parker was the daughter of G. F. Parker.2 She married Lt.-Col. Guy Heron Maxwell-Heron, son of John Heron Maxwell-Heron of Heron and Kiroughtree and Margaret Salter Stancomb, on 24 January 1922.1 She died on 10 August 1924.1
     From 24 January 1922, her married name became Maxwell-Heron.1

Pereira, on 21 July 1928.1 He and Vera Ismay Pereira were divorced in 1957.1 He married, secondly, Moria Kathleen Brown, daughter of Charles Clover Brown, in 1957.1 He died on 22 February 1968, without issue.1
