     Sir Richard Tempest, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1620.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Tempest, 2nd Bt. and Troth Tempest.2 He married Sarah Cambell, daughter of Thomas Cambell and Sarah Sparkes, on 9 October 1641.1
     He was educated at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Tempest, of Stella, co. Durham [E., 1622] in August 1641.1 He gained the rank of Colonel of Horse in the Royalist Army, during the Civil War.1

     Sarah Cambell was the daughter of Thomas Cambell and Sarah Sparkes.2,1 She married Sir Richard Tempest, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Tempest, 2nd Bt. and Troth Tempest, on 9 October 1641.1 She died circa February 1662.1 She was buried on 5 February 1662.1
     From 9 October 1641, her married name became Tempest.

     Sir Thomas Tempest, 4th Bt. was born circa 1642.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Tempest, 3rd Bt. and Sarah Cambell.2 He married Alice Hodgson, daughter of William Hodgson and Margaret Haggerston.1 He died in August 1692.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Tempest, of Stella, co. Durham [E., 1622] circa February 1662.1

Sir Thomas Haggerston, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Thomas Haggerston, 1st Bt. was the son of William Haggerston and Margaret Butler.2 He married Alice Banister, daughter of Henry Banister.2 He died circa 4 March 1673/74.2 He was buried on 7 March 1673/74.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Haggerston, of Haggerston, co. Northampton [England] on 15 October 1642.2 He fought in the English Civil War.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the a royalist regiment.2 He lived at Haggerston Castle, Northumberland, England.2

     Alice Hodgson is the daughter of William Hodgson and Margaret Haggerston.1 She married Sir Thomas Tempest, 4th Bt., son of Sir Richard Tempest, 3rd Bt. and Sarah Cambell.1

     Sir Francis Tempest, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Tempest, 4th Bt. and Alice Hodgson.2 He died in 1698, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Tempest, of Stella, co. Durham [E., 1622] in August 1692.1

Jane Tempest1

     Jane Tempest was the daughter of Sir Thomas Tempest, 4th Bt. and Alice Hodgson.2 She married William Widdrington, 4th Baron Widdrington of Blankney, son of William Widdrington, 3rd Baron Widdrington and Hon. Alathea Fairfax, on 13 April 1700.1 She died on 9 September 1714.1
     She inherited Stella.1 From 13 April 1700, her married name became Widdrington.1

William Widdrington, 4th Baron Widdington

     William Widdrington, 4th Baron Widdrington of Blankney was the son of William Widdrington, 3rd Baron Widdrington and Hon. Alathea Fairfax.2 He married, firstly, Jane Tempest, daughter of Sir Thomas Tempest, 4th Bt. and Alice Hodgson, on 13 April 1700.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Catherine Graham, daughter of Richard Graham, 1st Viscount Preston and Lady Ann Howard, circa July 1718.3 He died on 19 April 1743.1
     He gained the title of 4th Baron Widdrington of Blankney. He fought in the Jacobite Uprising in 1715.3 From January 1715/16 to February 1715/16 he was attainted.3
