     Colin Hugh Thomson was the son of General Alexander Thomson.1 He married Maria Louisa Augusta West, daughter of Very Rev. Augustus William West and Lucinda Digby Brooke, in June 1872.1 He died on 24 April 1905.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 74th Highlanders.1 He lived at Salruck, Connemara, County Galway, IrelandG.1
