     Mary Stewart was the daughter of Robert Hathorn Stewart of Physgill and Isabella Agnew.1 She married Rear-Admiral James Hay, son of Major James Hay and Dorothea Hay, on 10 November 1824.1 She died on 26 April 1880.1
     From 10 November 1824, her married name became Hay.1
