     Sir Charles Alban Young, 9th Bt. was born on 18 November 1865.2 He was the son of Sir Charles Lawrence Young, 7th Bt. and Mary Florence Toulmin.2 He married Frances Clara Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, daughter of Sir Francis Edmund Hugh Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound and Henrietta Augusta Mary Ford, on 18 July 1908.1 He died on 2 March 1944 at age 78.2
     Sir Charles Alban Young, 9th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Alban.2 He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1890 and 1925.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1906.1 He was Councillor of Teheran between 1910 and 1913.2 He was Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary and Consul-General of Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Salvador between 1913 and 1919.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1918.2 He was Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary and Consul-General of Begrade between 1919 and 1925.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Young, of Dominica, West Indies [G.B., 1769] on 11 June 1921.2

     He was with the Egyptian Civil Service.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1926.1
