     Mary Aderne Ormerod was born on 25 February 1882 at Marylebone, London, England.1 She was the daughter of Jospeh Arderne Ormerod and Mary Ellen Milner.1 She married Hubert Gaster Chalk, son of William Henry Chalk and Agnes Gaster, on 18 January 1910.1
     From 18 January 1910, her married name became Chalk.1
