James Poynter and Jessie Catherine Mackinnon, on 23 January 1917.1 She died on 16 October 1970 at age 96, without issue.1
     Her married name became Poynter.

     Major Arthur Vernon Poynter was born in 1872 at Kensington, London, England.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Poynter and Jessie Catherine Mackinnon.2 He married Lady Agnes Isabel Howard, daughter of Henry Charles Howard, 18th Earl of Suffolk and Mary Eleanor Lauderdale Coventry, on 23 January 1917.1 He died on 1 March 1955.1
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.1

     Charles Henry George Howard, 20th Earl of Suffolk was born on 2 March 1906.1 He was the son of Henry Molyneux Paget Howard, 19th Earl of Suffolk and Marguerite Hyde Leiter.1 He married Mimi Forde-Pigott, daughter of Alfred George Forde-Pigott, on 7 March 1934.1 He died on 12 May 1941 at age 35, killed while defusing his 35th unexploded bomb.1
     He succeeded as the 13th Baron Howard of Charleton, Wiltshire [E., 1622] on 21 April 1917.1 He succeeded as the 13th Viscount Andover, co. Southampton [E., 1622] on 21 April 1917.1 He succeeded as the 20th Earl of Suffolk [E., 1603] on 21 April 1917.1 He succeeded as the 13th Earl of Berkshire [E., 1626] on 21 April 1917.1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)1 He was appointed Fellor, Royal Society of Edinburgh (F.R.S.E.)1 He was a Liaision Officer for the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, where he helped extract scientists, heavy water and diamonds to England during the Fall of France. He was appointed Fellow, Zoologicial Society (F.Z.S.)1 He was with the Ministry of Supply as a Research Officer defusing unexploded enemy bombs. He was awarded the George Cross (G.C.) in 1941 posthumously.1

     Mimi Forde-Pigott was the daughter of Alfred George Forde-Pigott.1 She married Charles Henry George Howard, 20th Earl of Suffolk, son of Henry Molyneux Paget Howard, 19th Earl of Suffolk and Marguerite Hyde Leiter, on 7 March 1934.1 She died on 22 February 1966.1
     Mimi Forde-Pigott used the stage-name of Mimi Crawford.3 She was an actress.3 From 7 March 1934, her married name became Howard. After her marriage, Mimi Forde-Pigott was styled as Countess of Suffolk on 7 March 1934.

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1
