     From 5 May 1938, her married name became Wanklyn.

     Lt.-Cdr. Malcolm David Wanklyn, V.C. was born on 28 June 1911 at The Hermitage, Alipore, India.2 He was the son of William L. Wanklyn.3 He married Elspeth Kinloch, daughter of James Kinloch and Julia Madeline Boase, on 5 May 1938.1 He died on 14 April 1942 at age 30, killed in action in the Gulf of Tripoli.3
     He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) and two bars.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.)1
