Alexander Kirkpatrick1

     Alexander Kirkpatrick was the son of Roger Kirkpatrick of Closeburn and Margaret Somerville.2 He died on 9 June 1486.1
     In 1484 he was granted the lands and territorial Barony of Kirkmichael, Dumfriesshire, as reward for the capture of 9th Earl of Douglas at Burnswark.1

     Thomas Kirkpatrick is the son of Sir Thomas Kirkpatrick of Closeburn and Margaret Sinclair.2 He married Janet Grierson, daughter of Roger Grierson and Agnes Douglas.1
     He lived at Closeburn, Scotland.1 He fought in the Battle of Solway Moss between March 1541/42 and September 1542, where he was captured by the English.1
