Sir Robert Bayley Emilius Laurie of Maxwelton, 7th Bt. was born on 8 March 1931.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir John Emilius Laurie of Maxwelton, 6th Bt. and Evelyn Clare Gardner Richardson-Gardner.2 He married Laurelie Meriol Winifrida Williams, daughter of Sir Reginald Lawrence William Williams, 7th Bt. and Elinor Meriol Enriqueta Trevor, on 14 September 1968.2 He died on 27 December 2017 at age 86.3
