     Captain James Boyle was born on 27 February 1850.1 He was the son of Vice-Admiral Alexander Boyle and Agnes Walker.1 He married Blanche Eleanor Murray Pratt, daughter of Reverend Jermyn Pratt and Mary Louisa Murray, on 30 April 1891.1 He died on 23 January 1931 at age 80, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Princess Victoria's Royal Irish Fusiliers.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1904.1 He was Consul to Funchal, Madiera between 1907 and 1919.1

     Fanny Studholme was born on 30 June 1861.2 She was the daughter of Michael Studholme and Iphigenia Maria Louisa Channon.1,2 She married Alexander Boyle, son of Vice-Admiral Alexander Boyle and Agnes Walker, on 5 July 1883.1 She died on 13 May 1930 at age 68.1
     Her married name became Boyle. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1
