     Sir John Lubbock, 1st Bt. was baptised on 20 August 1744.1 He was the son of Reverend William Lubbock and Elizabeth Cooper.1 He married Elizabeth Christiana Commerell, daughter of Frederick Commerell, on 12 October 1771.1 He died on 24 February 1816 at age 71, without issue.1
     He was a merchant and banker at London, EnglandG.1 He was created 1st Baronet Lubbock, of London [U.K.] on 9 April 1806.1

     Her married name became Grimston. After her marriage, Lady Violet Constance Maitland Brabazon was styled as Countess of Verulam on 11 November 1924.
