     Frederick Calvert was born on 9 June 1806.1 He was the son of General Sir Harry Calvert, 1st Bt. and Caroline Hammersley.2 He married Lady Lucy Caroline Herbert, daughter of Edward Herbert, 2nd Earl of Powis and Lady Lucy Graham, on 14 September 1865.1 He died on 6 June 1891 at age 84, without issue.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Aylesbury between 1850 and 1851.1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Buckinghamshire.1
