     Hercules Langrishe was baptised on 20 April 1594.1 He was the son of Roger Langrishe and Elizabeth (?)2 He married Olympe du Plessis, daughter of Lucullus du Plessis, Seigneur de Savonnières and Anne du Griffon, in April 1619.1 He died after 10 January 1659.1
     He was a Parliamentarian during the Civil War, raising a troop of horse.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 44th Troop, Earl of Bedford's Regiment.1 He was Carver in Ordinary to Charles I's wife Henrietta Maria.1

Reverend Nicholas Langrishe1

     Reverend Nicholas Langrishe was the son of Nicholas Langrishe and Joan Stempe.2 He died before 1559.1
     He was a Fellow at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Chaplain in 1534 at Selborne, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was Vicar at East Meon, Hampshire, England.1

     Olympe du Plessis is the daughter of Lucullus du Plessis, Seigneur de Savonnières and Anne du Griffon.2,1 She married Hercules Langrishe, son of Roger Langrishe and Elizabeth (?), in April 1619.1
     From April 1619, her married name became Langrishe.

Hercules Langrishe1

     Hercules Langrishe was born in 1620.1 He was the son of Hercules Langrishe and Olympe du Plessis.2 He married Anne Reading, daughter of unknown Reading, in November 1657.1 He died after 1662.1
     He was a Parliamentarian during the Civil War, and helped defend Bristol.1 He fought in the Battle of Roundway Down on 13 July 1643, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Captain FitzGerald's Troop of Horse, garrisoning Drogheda.1 He was Commissioner for distributing confiscated Irish land to Cromwell's Army.1 He was Collector of Poll Tax in 1661.1

     John Langrishe was born on 25 August 1660.1 He was the son of Hercules Langrishe and Anne Reading.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Sandford, daughter of Colonel unknown Sandford.1 He married, fifthly, Anne Newport, daughter of John Newport.1 He married, secondly, Alice Blayney, daughter of Henry Blayney, 2nd Lord Blayney, Baron of Monaghan and Jane Moore.1 He married, thirdly, Mary Grace, daughter of Robert Grace, circa 1695.1 He married, fourthly, Frances Plowden circa 13 November 1705.1 He died in 1735.1
     He held the office of Mayor of Knocktopher in 1692.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kilkenny in 1696.1
