Anne Whitaker was the daughter of Alfred Whitaker.1 She married Alexander Godfrey Macdonald, 7th Baron Macdonald of Slate, son of Hon. Godfrey Evan Hugh Bosville Macdonald and Helen Holme Bankes, on 14 June 1945.1 She died in 1988.1

Godfrey James Macdonald, 8th Baron Macdonald of Slate was born on 28 November 1947.1 He is the son of Alexander Godfrey Macdonald, 7th Baron Macdonald of Slate and Anne Whitaker.1 He married Claire Catlow, daughter of Captain Thomas Noel Catlow and Jean Meriel Nuttall, on 14 June 1969.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of the Inverness-shire County Council between 1970 and 1975.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Macdonald of Slate, co. Antrim [I., 1776] on 29 November 1970.1 He held the office of Member of the Skye and Lochalsh District Council between 1975 and 1983.1

Ronald Ian Bosville Macdonald, son of Ronald Archibald Bosville Macdonald, 6th Baron Macdonald of Slate and Louisa Jane Hamilton Ross, on 5 May 1915.1 She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. Charles John Wallace, son of Lt.-Col. Hugh Robert Wallace of Busbie and Matilda Marion Christie Campbell, on 20 January 1932.1 She died on 30 April 1966.1

Sir Thomas Swinnerton Dyer, 11th Bt. was born on 3 October 1859.1 He was the son of Sir Swinnerton Halliday Dyer, 10th Bt. and Helen Maria Croker.1,2 He married Dona Edith McGrigor, daughter of Sir Charles Rhoderic McGrigor, 2nd Bt. and Mary Grant, on 21 January 1886.1 He died on 23 August 1907 at age 47.1
