     Hon. Robert Maldred St. John Melville Dundas was born on 25 November 1912.1 He was the son of Henry Charles Clement Dundas, 7th Viscount Melville of Melville and Agnes Mary Florence Brouncker.2 He married Margaret Connell Ross, daughter of Percy Cruden Ross, on 5 March 1936.1 He died on 5 June 1940 at age 27, killed in action.1
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Lothian and Border Yeomanry.1

     Margaret Connell Ross is the daughter of Percy Cruden Ross.2 She married, firstly, Hon. Robert Maldred St. John Melville Dundas, son of Henry Charles Clement Dundas, 7th Viscount Melville of Melville and Agnes Mary Florence Brouncker, on 5 March 1936.1 She married, secondly, Gerald Bristowe Sanderson on 14 November 1946.1
     From 5 March 1936, her married name became Dundas. From 14 November 1946, her married name became Sanderson.1

     Robert David Ross Dundas, 9th Viscount Melville of Melville was born on 28 May 1937.2 He was the son of Hon. Robert Maldred St. John Melville Dundas and Margaret Connell Ross.2 He married Fiona Margaret Stilgoe, daughter of Roger Kirkpatrick Stilgoe, on 23 July 1982.2 He died on 21 July 2011 at age 74.3
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Ayrshire Yeomanry.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Scots Guards.2 He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Melville of Melville, co. Edinburgh [U.K., 1802] on 26 March 1971.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Dunira, co. Perth [U.K., 1802] on 26 March 1971.2 He lived in 2003 at Frith Wood, Far Oakridge, Stroud, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2
