     Helen Houstoun was the daughter of Sir John Houstoun of that Ilk, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Shaw.² She married Sir Michael Stewart, 3rd Bt., son of John Stewart and Rebecca Wallace, in June 1738.¹ She died on 19 July 1746.¹
     From June 1738, her married name became Stewart.

     Sir John Shaw-Stewart of Blackhall and Greenock, 4th Bt. was born circa 1740.¹ He was the son of Sir Michael Stewart, 3rd Bt. and Helen Houstoun.² He married Frances Colhoun, daughter of Robert Colhoun, in April 1786.¹ He died on 7 August 1812, without issue.¹
     He was given the name of John Stewart at birth.² In 1752 his name was legally changed to John Shaw-Stewart on inheriting Easter Greenock and Finnart estates from his great-uncle Sir John Shaw of Greenock.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Renfrewshire between 1780 and 1783.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Renfrewshire between 1786 and 1796.² He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Stewart, of Greenock and Blackhall, co. Renfrew [N.S., 1667] on 20 October 1796.¹

     Robert Colhoun lived at St. Christopher^G.¹ He was also known as Robert Colquhoun.²

     Lt.-Col. Frederick Hole was born in 1840 at Bideford, Devon, England^G.¹ He married Mary Florence Coulthard in 1886 at Plympton, Devon, England^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.¹

     Houston Stewart-Nicolson was the son of Sir Michael Stewart, 3rd Bt. and Helen Houstoun.² He married Margaret Porterfield, daughter of Boyd Porterfield of that Ilk, on 19 March 1765.¹ He died in 1785.¹
     He was also known as Houston Stewart.² In 1752 his name was legally changed to Houston Stewart-Nicolson on inheriting the Carnock estate from Sir John Houston of Houston, 4th Bt.²

     Margaret Porterfield is the daughter of Boyd Porterfield of that Ilk.² She married Houston Stewart-Nicolson, son of Sir Michael Stewart, 3rd Bt. and Helen Houstoun, on 19 March 1765.¹
     From 19 March 1765, her married name became Stewart-Nicolson.

     Mary Agnes Chisholm is the daughter of James Chisholm of Chisholm.² She married Charles St. Clair, 4th/13th Lord Sinclair, son of Andrew St. Clair of Herdmanston and Elizabeth Rutherford, on 13 February 1802.³ She died on 16 July 1814.³
     From 13 February 1802, her married name became St. Clair.

     John Pringle St. Clair was born on 12 April 1862.² He was the son of Commander Hon. Charles St. Clair and Anne Crawfurd Pringle.¹ He married Clara Chapman, daughter of Henry Chapman, on 5 July 1902.²

     Lady Anne Hope was born on 7 October 1763.¹ She was the daughter of John Hope, 2nd Earl of Hopetoun and Jane Oliphant.¹ She was baptised on 8 October 1763 at Abercorn, West Lothian, Scotland^G.¹ She died on 21 January 1780 at age 16.¹
