     Alice Emma Sturgis Van de Weyer was the daughter of Jean Sylvain Van de Weyer and Elizabeth Anne Sturgis Bates.1,2 She married Major Hon. Charles Brand, son of Henry Bouverie William Brand, 1st Viscount Hampden of Glynde and Eliza Ellice, on 15 August 1878.1 She died on 4 February 1926.1
     Her married name became Brand.

     Captain Ian Alexander Henderson was born on 5 October 1918.2 He was the son of Major Hon. Alec Puleston Henderson and Gladys Rhoda MacLean.2 He married, firstly, Patience Brand, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Charles Brand and Lady Rosabelle Millicent St. Clair-Erskine, on 16 February 1945.3 He and Patience Brand were divorced in 1955.3 He married, secondly, Sarah Veronica Crawley, daughter of Major Cosmo Stafford Crawley and Rosemary Christie-Miller, on 21 December 1955.2 He died on 31 December 1968 at age 50.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Horse Guards.2 He fought in the Second World War.2
