     Colonel Charles Warren Napier-Clavering was born on 19 August 1858.¹ He was the son of John Warren Napier-Clavering and Anna Maria Margaret Helen Hunter.² He married Margaret Nevile Reid, daughter of Nevile Reid, on 24 October 1899.¹ He died on 22 October 1931 at age 73.¹
     He fought in the Burma Expedition between 1885 and 1887.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Somerset Light Infantry.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹
